In January 2016, Dr. Gillies took on the sole ownership of Romeo Pet Hospital and were excited to have Dr. Hodge join her as owner in 2019.  Dr. Gillies lives in Stratford with her husband and 2 children and their pets, Marie the Papillon, Boone the Doberman, her cats Marvin and Olliver, and various farm animals.

Dr. Hodge is the first Certified Hospice and Palliative Care Veterinarian in Stratford and the surrounding area. Dr. Hodge is passionate about giving our furry family members the end-of-life care they deserve. Dr. Emily Wagler

Dr. Wagler started off her veterinary career, graduating and moving to Chatham in 2005, while her husband completed his Teaching degree, and then moved back into the Stratford area in 2006.   Before veterinary school, she grew up in Port Elgin on Lake Huron and then completed her Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Guelph.  For several years after graduating, she did locum relief work at various local clinics, including the London Veterinary Emergency Clinic, to broaden her experiences and level of care.

Dr. Wagler excitedly joined and settled in with Romeo’s team vision in 2014, offering excellent service and communication to the Stratford area regarding veterinary care for pets and their families. Since 2017, she has also enjoyed working alongside the City of Stratford to offer veterinary care for the Queen’s swans gifted to our beautiful city.

Dr. Wagler lives near Stratford on a small hobby farm with her husband and four boys and their beloved Cavalier Spaniels and several farm animals.

Dr. Leeann Sealey

Veterinarian & Clinic Founder

Dr. Sealey completed her D.V.M. degree in 1993 at the Ontario Veterinary College, University of Guelph.

After spending several years in mixed and small animal practice, Dr. Sealey opened Romeo Pet Hospital in her hometown, Stratford. After successfully growing and operating her practice for almost 20 years, Dr. Sealey retired from ownership and became involved in shelter medicine. Working for KWHS and SPHS, Dr. Sealey opened two new hospitals within the shelters and was actively involved in developing many projects and programs and mentoring students and spending lots of time on the surgery table.

Dr. Sealey’s love for new challenges brought her back to private practice in the form of emergency medicine at the London Regional Emergency Hospital.   In 2019, Dr. Sealey returned to Romeo Pet Hospital on a part-time basis to join her friends once again in providing surgery and medical care for her favourite clients, the pets of Stratford.

In her spare time, Dr. Sealey enjoys spending time with her family, including her husband, two adult daughters and her ragamuffin rescue Chihuahua cross Sophie.  She frequently unwinds, cooking, reading, hiking, and travelling whenever possible.
